The third Wednesday of each month at Pleasant Valley Church is dedicated to service. We partner with the Cleveland Food Bank to provide food to those who need some extra help. We have an opportunity to care for our neighbors and love them well by talking with them, handing out food, and carrying their groceries. Make plans to come out, and look for a sign up in the lobby a couple weeks ahead of time. We could use help starting at 3:00 p.m. for setup.
If you are in need of food, please come out, we want to meet that need for you on the third Wednesday of each month. Doors open to wait inside at 5:00 p.m. and we start giving out food at 6:00 p.m.
Bring the whole family as we reflect on the Incarnation and give praise to God for sending His one and only Son into this world. We’ll light the last candle of Advent, sing Christmas songs that bring glory to God, hear a message from the Bible, and end the night with candlelight as we sing, “Silent Night.”
Looking for JOY this Christmas season? Join us as we reflect on why Jesus offers joy that can’t be found anywhere else. After a seasonal message and Christmas music, there will be a guided craft, door prizes, and refreshments. Please invite a friend and register by November 25. Also, we are asking ladies to bring a nut-free appetizer or dessert to share.
Whether your baby is 2, 22, or 42, this is your invitation to join us! We will be focusing this year on how to talk to and love the kids in our lives. Please sign up in the foyer and meet us in the Fellowship Hall at 9:30am. Childcare is available through age 5. If you have any questions, please contact Rachel Fleshman or the church office. We can't wait to see you there!
Childcare is available.

It’s time to connect . . .
A few ministries within the church have openings. When you serve at Pleasant Valley Church, you get to help the church thrive, but you also get the opportunity to build relationships with others in the church and truly connect on a deeper level.
Check out these opportunities and consider where God may be leading you to serve.
We’re looking for new people to serve on our Greeter Team. You don’t have to be Mr. or Mrs. Extrovert, you just need to have a Christ-like, Spirit-filled, joyful personality to greet guest and help then know where to go. Contact the church office for more information!
Building & Grounds Team
Do you have a special skill in building maintenance, whether plumping, electrical, construction or any or all the above? Are you good at organizing a team and delegating? Our Buildings and Grounds team would be a great fit for you!
We’re looking for some youth guys or men in the church who would like to serve on our usher team. On rotation, you would greet and hand out bulletins to people as they enter service on Sunday mornings. You would also help pass the plates to collect tithes and offerings during our Worship Service.
Pray about whether God would have you serve in any of these ministries. The joy of serving is knowing that it is God’s work, He simply invites us to join in. There are so many blessings to be discovered when you connect and serve.
Contact the church office to take one of these opportunities or with any questions!

We are in search of an individual with a passion for worship to lead and facilitate the music for our Sunday morning worship services. This is a great position for someone musically inclined who has a heart for music ministry.
Interested applicants should review our statement of beliefs and submit a
resume to Pastor Paul at email@example.com.
Men's Fish & Shoot at Medina Bird Club on June 2nd from 10 - 3 (weather permitting). This is a fun event, especially if it's a sunny day, and gives us all a chance to get outside, eat some tasty food, fish a little for those that like that, and shoot some clay or paper targets if you're so inclined. There'll be opportunities to win some gift cards in some competitions we'll be having throughout the day.
Cost for this event will be $15 as it always has been to cover food and other expenses. Please bring cash to the event.
YOUTH: Have some stuff laying around you need to re-gift? How about that giant rubber band ball you desperately want out of your home? An old lava lamp? Bring your craziest white elephant gift and yourself to our Youth Christmas Party. We'll have a blast, laugh like crazy and celebrate the holidays! Hope to see you there!
This year, there will be a Thanksgiving meal at the church with some refugee friends of the Andersons. If you would like to meet and spend some time getting to know them by sharing a meal, we would love to have you join us! If you can just drop by for a few minutes, that’s great too. Dinner will be served at 5:00 p.m. we just ask that you bring a side dish to share– turkey and pie will be provided! We are also looking for help from people willing to pick up families to bring to the church and then take them home after.
